Mekluc Freight’s sea freight service is the best way to handle large-scale international
logistics. We work with an established network of sea freight transport providers to
ensure that your freight is transported via the most time and cost-effective means. We
handle all customs documents for countries of origin and destination.

Customs clearance and forwarding

CUSTOMS CLEARING & FORWARDING Service:

is provided to all shipments entering & exiting South Africa according to SARS regulations & procedures which includes cross trade worldwide.

MeklucFreight is a registered Freight Forwarder & a Licenced Customs Clearing Agent with the South African Receiver of Revenue Services (SARS)

Consolidation with warehousing

Mekluc Freight offers a consolidation with warehousing service, ideal for buying houses,
brokers, freight forwarders and mines. Shipments are collected within 24 hours,
combined and warehoused until dispatched.

Packaging

Mekluc Freight provides a packaging service for plastic pallet wrap, cardboard boxing,
bubble wrapping and labelling. The wood used for crating and pallets is treated and
stamped with a special registration number, aligned to international requirements.
The packaging most suited for the mode of transport is selected for every shipment.
A specialised service is offered for fragile goods such as artwork, electronics, glass
and machinery.

Special services

Repatriation (HUM)

The repatriation of human remains or ashes is offered to funeral homes, embassies, travel agencies, societies, and families. A comprehensive process is followed from applying for permits to obtaining airline approval to providing specialized crating and labelling as specied by IATA regulation.

Dangerous goods (DGR)

Mekluc Freight forward dangerous goods hassle-free, around the world by Air, Road and Sea Freight
depending on the urgency and product type.

Live Animal (AVI)

We transport live animals, pets and animals for zoological or agricultural purposes according to
IATA’s Live Animals Regulations (LAR). These regulations set the worldwide standard for transporting
live animals safely and humanely by air.
